Ingredients
Cake Mix (77%): Rice Flour, Sugar, Potato Starch, Fat-Reduced Cocoa Powder (6%), Vegetable Oil, Raising Agents (Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate), Maize Starch, Salt, Thickener (Xanthan Gum). Frosting: Sugar, Dextrose, Fat-Reduced Cocoa Powder (15%), Vegetable Oil, Whey Powder (Milk), Modified Corn Starch (1422), Flavour, Acidity Regulator (Potassium Bicarbonate). Gluten free chocolate cake mix with chocolate buttercream frosting mix.
Preparation Instructions
All you need is: 4 extra large eggs + 125g butter softened to room temperature 1 tablespoon (20mL) milk + 1 cup (250mL) water 1/2 cup (125mL) vegetable oil Prep time 20 mins Baking time 45-50 mins 20cm round and at least 5cm deep cake pan 4 Simple Steps! Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens). Grease a cake pan with cooking spray. Line the base with baking paper. 1. Beat cake mix, eggs, water and vegetable oil in a large bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes (do not eat batter as it contains raw eggs). Pour into pan. 2. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until skewer inserted in centre comes out clean. COOL for 10 minutes in pan, and then gently remove from the pan onto a wire rack to cool completely. 3. Make Chocolate Buttercream Frosting: beat butter in a medium bowl with an electric mixer on high speed for 3-5 mins or until butter is pale and creamy. Reduce speed to medium, gradually add Chocolate Buttercream mix 1 tablespoon at a time. Continue mixing until well combined. Add milk and beat on high for another minute. 4. Spread Chocolate Buttercream Frosting over the top of cooled cake.
